On the occasion of the coming of the Chinese New Year, in order to celebrate the traditional Chinese Spring Festival, the Sydney Chinese Dance Company will hold a large-scale dance performance “Lighting Up” at the Parramatta Leagues Club on February 1 to celebrate the Chinese New Year. “Lighting Up” is a grand dance performance that the Sydney Chinese Dance Company has created to celebrate the Chinese New Year, while inheriting and carrying forward the traditional Chinese dance art and absorbing the essence of dance art from all over the world.

The Sydney Chinese Dance Company was founded in 2004 as a cultural exchange art group approved by the New South Wales government. Since its establishment, the group has attracted much attention for its superb artistic standards, professional spirit, and continuous innovation in dance art.
